Finches Cottage is a beautiful three bedroomed fully renovated character cottage, situated in the picturesque village of Egleton, Rutland.

Situated on the outskirts of Rutland Water, one of Europe’s largest reservoirs, there are an abundance of activities to keep you busy during your stay.

From water sports, to bird watching, walking to cycling, days out with children, or evening meals with friends, family theme park to horse riding – you will not be short of things to do.

Egleton is a small village, located just a 5 minute drive from the traditional market town of Oakham where you will find a number of independent shops, deli, cafes and restaurants. A 20 minute drive will take you to Stamford, regarded as one of the finest stone towns in England. Stamford has a market day every Friday, which is bustling with traders selling local veg, meats, pies, bread and fresh fish. No visit to Stamford is complete without a visit to Burghley House, an Elizabethan stately home, where visitor facilities include a restaurant, gift shop, gardens and beautiful walks around the historic parkland. Burghley House is also home to the international Burghley Horse Trials, which are held here every year.
